Collaborative Mediation. To reach a comprehensive mediated agreement, you and your spouse will meet together briefly with the financial and family mediator and the single collaborative attorney to answer any questions or concerns that either of you may have and to address child and spousal support. The family mediator will present the details of your parenting plan and the financial mediator will present the details of your division of marital property and debt and review your estimated future income and expenses. We will review each of your expected future financial needs and consider multiple child and spousal support options. The financial mediator will visually project against the wall for everyone to see the financial results of various “what happens if we change this” analyses based on competing child and spousal support scenarios until you are able to reach a comprehensive agreement that works for the both of you.
Final Documents, Disclosures, Filing and Waiting Period. The single Collaborative attorney will prepare the final divorce documents and disclosures in the form required by the court and then walk the divorce filing through the court system.
